US Cable Support → Bright House Networks > CFL BH TV going ALL Digital!

I just called bright house and they weren't very helpful with this process. The only options available were to either go to a local office to pick up the device myself or to wait over a week for a tech to come out to my area on a workday weekday (which is crazy).

If the devices are about the size of a smart phone, and are super easy to hook up, then they should technically be easily and inexpensively mailed out. I can't believe bright house doesn't have that option available. Why would Bright House pay for an expensive employee/tech's salary, pay for gas etc. just for a very simple delivery?

Why not just mail the digital adapter out to the customer if they request it? It would be cheaper and more convenient for both Bright House and the customer.

This situation just reminded me of the most recent episode of South Park:

Jeez that's too bad. You need to be home for the technician. Have you thought of switching to DirecTV?

"Oh I'm sorry. Our company doesn't work that way. You want me to give you the number of a different cable company that can- [goews back to rubbing his nipples] Oh wait, we're it, aren't we? [rips off the patches and rubs his nipples again] Dangit, I guess you have to deal with it"

Is the DTA 170HD the unit that is new? I just had one of these installed here in Clearwater. It appears to work great, but there does not seem to be any way to set favorite channels. Am I missing something. I have it hooked up thru HDMI.
