Minor DSL Packet Loss Prime Time

Click for full size
Hi all,

In addition to my cable packet loss today, my DSL suffers from packet loss every night around prime time.

It's very regular. I noticed someone else reporting the same issue on the forums a few weeks back.

Any ideas, is this a known issue?

Ignore the one big blip from last night - I rewired my house wiring with a new punch down blocking thinking it maybe my house wiring ... but it's not; the wiring is pristine and seems to be Teksavvy?

are you able to use the Bell test@test login and also see if there's packet loss? might help identify if the issue is with TSI or a local Bell issue.

I just had a look, there is some imbalance in the links. You may be on one of them that's got extra load.

We also have additional capacity getting installed next week I believe.

the test@test will not help you with a packet loss issue

post pings etc for more info on your packet loss issue

the test@test will help determine if it's a line issue (sync/modem/dslam/remote) or if it's a IISP Bell issue.

if it's a load/balancing issue as Marc mentioned then ya test@test wouldn't have shown packet loss while the TSI login would have.

reconnecting your PPPoE session might send you to another link which isn't saturated.

OK, so basically log in with test@test, ping the local gateway and see if I can replicate the packet loss?

Will do.

No Packet Loss using test@test, the connection is pristine.

Perhaps its the IP I'm pinging while on Teksavvy's account ... I was using Google. However, I still don't expect 3% packet loss pinging Google?
