 | [DSL] Speed drops, IP changes & more Hi, I've switched to EBOX from Bell on September 17th. The first two days the service was going great and I received speeds of 25/10 as advertised. The following days, however, the speed would drop to 20, 15, 10 and even 5 Mbps once (around 1am). I've never had such problems with Bell, I had 10/1, and every time I tested it was 10/1. Also, sometimes the net stops working so I have to clear my browser's cache and then it starts to work again [never happened before]. Finally, the two times I've rebooted the modem due to speed drops it seems that the IP addresses are different. One more question, how is the bandwidth billed? For every bill cycle or every month? Because on the site it breaks down the usage for each month. I use the Sagemcom 2864 bought from EBOX, are there any recommended settings in the Connection Hub page?

| I can not comment on the speed that you are getting... I'm on cable with EBox and it's working fine for me.
that being said, with DSL when you reboot/restart your modem or when you disconnect/reconnect, you will most of the time get a new IP address.
bandwidth is billed by month. Every customers have the same cycle which is first day to last day of the month.
that being said, test your speed on a computer... not a smartphone. Some smartphones have a bad habit to sometimes slow down the speedtest for some reason... On My Galaxy Note 3, I'm sometimes getting the full speed (60mbits)... but sometimes it slows down to 15-20mbits. If I test on my computer directly, I'm getting the full speed. -- SpeedCable Extreme 60 avec Electronic Box!

You can share a link of a speedtest on »www.speedtest.net/
and copy past the link like this:
pour ce qui est de la vitesse en DSL, c'est la principale raison pourquoi je suis sur le cable. Ebox pourra confirmé, mais il y a peu de chance que leur réseau soit en cause -- Connection: ElectronicBox 60mbps / 10mbps Bilingual DSLR ElectronicBox Forum: »ELECTRONICBOX
