1000s of combinations tried, about six or seven different browsers, several version of each browser, several operating systems, and many feeds (OOL from several locations, BOOL, CV/LP etc.).
CSC / CV software engineering was able to confirm such, and capture said errors remotely in early July, but then contact was lost.
Need control of functions such as forwarding, and find me to function correctly, as switching mobile and/or remote device all day long.
Would BOOL be a better option? |

 | Can't you use IE in compatability mode and drop back to the old interface? |

tdoranPremium join:2003-09-27 Ridge, NY | No browser solution, it is an issue of the "server side" ASP/.NET configuration, and my account file that hold a few extra bytes as it is very very old from the early days of OOL, not identifiable with any normal consistency check, and the fact the new website cannot handle nor correct.
Spoke with Jim (Dolan) today, have the US / non-US programming team back on the task. |

"Nuclear" option - close account and open a new one? Care must be taken not to lose you phone number or OOL email addresses. |

I probably would have tried creating a new user ID temporarily and assign the OV Portal permissions to see if that would work. Of course once they resolve whatever is going on with your current ID then you can switch it back and remove the temporary ID. |

All CV employees are in the US.
Has CV been able to duplicate the issue with your account? I know you previously made the claim about extra data on your account because it's old, which you said CV denied, but did they actually say that was the issue? Have they tried, as someone here suggested, having the ID swapped temporarily to see if the problem follows the ID change or not? And if it does, a delete/undelete of the ID would definitely be able to fix it as it would be recreated as if a new ID was set today. However, the first question is the most significant. |

tdoranPremium join:2003-09-27 Ridge, NY | That was one answer I heard from one or two development team, but not all or a majority of the development team, and a few others that seem to me even remote. The error is reproducible, able to be remotely captured, on multiple systems, multi-site, and through multi-feed sources (OOL, BOOL, LP, but not CV intranet that error does not appear). Thus this should take out any local hardware, software, and/or system issue out of the picture.
Wilt is also involved as he developed the non-industry standard security mechanisms and schemes that are unique to Cablevision, way back in CSC's DOS, and Novell days when this (my) account originated. |

So...I take it you don't want to try what I suggested then? Or did you already try that and just didn't mention it? |

Since you've ignored me twice I'm going to just assume you didn't do that and you made this thread instead to somehow gloat that you made contact with the CEO and CTO. Kudos for you. |
