Bell Changes cause problems

My wife renegotiated our plan at the start of the summer. One of the things Bell offered was to move our 2nd line onto the primary as a GTN (sp?). The Internet is on the 2nd line because I have too many phones for filters on the primary.

We've spent countless hours with Bell who says our secondary line is disconnected even when we are calling them on it and have Internet active.

I just tried to get this cleared up through the Direct forum because I am concerned that if I had to open 'No Dial Tone' on the secondary number Bell will simply say that's because it's disconnected. They can't help because they only handle Internet which is shown on my primary line. Can I expect problems now because of the lack of filters on all phones?

Talking to multiple departments at Bell has not resolved this. Asking for the secondary line to be reactivated have been met with us potentially getting a new phone number.

Not sure who else to raise this with at Bell. Looking for ideas. We're very close to pulling the plug and moving to Rogers.

You can always buy adsl filters at any electronic stores, or we use a pots splitter now which eliminates the need for phone filters by isolating the dsl signal to one jack and placing the modem first in the series and the pots dial tone service continues to your phones as normal.

BTECH805 and I should do that why? This is a Bell screw up. I'm looking for Bell to fix it but can't find anyone. I call in on the 2nd line and they tell me it's disconnected! The only part of Bell that recognizes it is the IVR for 310-SURF.

Im not totally sure what the main goal is here and I just offered a solution, do you want both phone numbers on one line and the Internet on a second line?

Your post is a little jumbled up as to what you actually had, have now, and what you actually WANT.

A senior Bell tech there will be able to assist you with the technical and business office parts of this.

sbrook. Already been to Direct Forum. They were unable to help.

Got a call from the Customer Relations - Bell Executive office. Looks like the original orders were bungled back in June. They are having to undo everything and put us back to two lines.

That's interesting considering the Direct forum was created under the auspices of the executive office.
