12-2 in the 8th. Rays look badly out matched.Fairly ugly game!

Missed the ending, was on the phone. What a game, wowzers. Who has a team they are rooting for (besides Sox?) Lovely day in NE, topped off with a happy game at home. I will say though, TB had it tough since they've been "on the road" a bit (over 4,000 miles they said) and are probably really weary, the Sox had a big advantage there.

The regular season determines the travel in post season...thems the breaks. As aBoSox fan I can appreciate heartbreak, but for now I will just chuckle gleefully...while I can.

It will be interesting if my Tigers make it to play the BoSox.

I like the sounds of that matchup. When I think of oldtimey ballclubs the Tigers and RedSox are the first 2 that always pop into my mind. Not sure why. Sure would be a shot in the arm for the city of Detroit also.

Ill tell ya what I like about the Tigers organization and the current ownership. Theyre spending money in a down economy in a very depressed city. I dont care why theyre spending money whether its trying to buy a series crown or if they are really community minded.....either way its good for the city and its residents and I like that. Wasnt that many years ago the Tigers entire payroll was less than that of the starting 9 the Yankees were putting on the field. Theyve come a long ways in a short time. Good for them!

Ah, did not know. Well, I do think Detroit will come back, it's MoTown and too many love the place, but I don't know about our towns in CT. I sure hate the term "rust belt", it angers me because I know what people CAN do if only businessmen would wake up.
