| Road Runner Wideband IPv6 - Largest Prefix Length Does anyone know what is the largest prefix length that RR hands out. I can get a /64 and a /60 easily but when I get a /60 on my WAN, anything connected to the LAN doesnt get a IPv6 address causing it to fail any IPv6 test sites. Running pfSense as a router. -- Do you remember when House began? |

I'm betting you'll probably have to specially configure radvd/DHCPv6 to recognize the other blocks and hand them out to other machines. Which may be a problem if the blocks aren't supposed to be permanently assigned to your account... |

You mean from the /60 i get for the LAN, setup static IP with DHCPv6 for all LAN interfaces? -- Do you remember when House began? |

| I get the following as options but I dont know which one applies for Router Advertisements.
Select the Operating Mode for the Router Advertisement (RA) Daemon. Use "Router Only" to only advertise this router, "Unmanaged" for Router Advertising with Stateless Autoconfig, "Managed" for assignment through (a) DHCPv6 Server, "Assisted" for DHCPv6 Server assignment combined with Stateless Autoconfig It is not required to activate this DHCPv6 server when set to "Managed", this can be another host on the network -- Do you remember when House began? |
|
 | Maybe "managed" would work here. I haven't tried getting more than a /64, so I can't say for sure. :/ |

It depends on the RA / DHCPv6 daemon implementation. Some are designed with a dynamic environment in mind so that the DHCPv6-PD client can hand down an allocation and they can assign /64's to each configured interface as appropriate. As in no hard coded addresses within the configuration of the daemon. |

I noticed on the SB6141 I just activated on my Standard 15/1 residential service that the Configuration tab under Modem's IP Mode says; IPv4 Only, so of course when I run test-ipv6.com test i get 0/10 fail score.
should i ask TWCable to enable my IPv6, or not worry about it... and assume they will push out the IPv6 update/config when they feel it's needed in my area. I'm not hosting anything of consequence at home. |

 | said by Packeteers:the Configuration tab under Modem's IP Mode says; IPv4 Only That is just for the management (TWC) side of the modem and has nothing to do with IPv6 on your LAN. Mine says that as well yet IPv6 works fine. Either your router doesn't support IPv6 or IPv6 isn't turned on in your area yet.
