itunes radio is down more than its up

What's up with iTunes radio?! It's been weeks since its been released and I seems to get the iTunes radio on either my iphone or apple tv unavailable message, especially at what I would call peak times. Never had the problem with Pandora. I realize iTunes radio is a free app to use but its frustrating to have it not work when you are having a party or entertaining.
An Apple fail.

It often just stops for me. Have to restart iTunes to get it unstuck. Not used it much from my iPhone.
