Re: PC to HDMI and Laptop Dock to HDMI Does the laptop have USB3? Dell resells a decent USB3 to HDMI adapter.
There are also USB2 to HDMI adapters, but they have issues because of bandwidth and protocol limitations. Check ones which support 720p at 60Hz. Connect directly to laptop port, not to a hub! |

| USB X indicates the standard compliance.. USB 1 was the first generation, USB2 second generation (much faster) and now the newest standard is USB3 (Much faster still, and I think capable of delivering more than 500mA current, but I may be wrong)
Typically, USB3 ports are differentiated on a computer by being blue. Any USB device should be able to be used in any usb port, but the overall transfer rate will be determined by the slowest port. So, if you plug a USB3 device into a USB2 port on a computer, you're still only going to get USB2 speeds. -- When cryptography is outlawed, bayl bhgynjf jvyy unir cevinpl. |
