[Chat] Internet speeds???

I've been watching my internet speeds for some time now. I'm lucky -- I have the tap in my backyard, so get outrageously great speeds at way more than what I'm paying for from Charter. I am paying for "up to 30meg" every month; getting way more than that, per my testing. These speeds are consistent every time I test.

From Speedtest dot net:

From PC Pitstop:

From Charter's test -- and this is from their headend:

Just curious about the kind of speeds all of you are getting from your internet providers.

I pay for 7/1 on cable and get it at all times. Yes it is set up similar to DSL. Love-it.

Cablevision recently (July) upgraded everyone on their "Boost" package ($64.95/month, 50 down/20 up) to their "Ultra" tier at no cost.

I'm on the second lowest tier, and it's still too expensive, but that is my result.

Before living here I lived in Cablevision/OOL land and we got 50+ down and 8+ up, that was super nice. Still, I'm very very glad to have what I have, considering some people are living with DSL, or worse, Satellite, or worse, dialup. It's a long time this nation should have already ran optical fiber to EVERYBODY, FTTP.

No speed records here at the end of a long dsl line (actually a pair of them). Download speed is further reduced in order to get a boost in upload speed (Annex M) since I'm running servers at home. This particular test turned out a bit slower then usual, there may have been someone accessing the site while I ran the test.

I think it is funny that dslreports.com thinks that I'm my own ISP

Pay for 15/1, get 28/1.22 and it's rated C+?
