[IPv6] IPv6 Miami?

Now that I have a IPv6 compatible router and modem, I checked the comcast6.net website and saw that my CMTS does not support it yet.

Any ideas when the Miami area will be lit up? Or has CC stopped IPv6 roll out for now?

Re: IPv6 Miami?

That's very surprising as it seems to be everywhere else in SE FL.

... Not everywhere...

My area is using a Cisco CMTS, no IPv6 yet...

I think I'm SA. The box downstairs is a cisco RG something, but my cablecard is an SA.

How can I find out which hardware powers the CMTS?

SA is Cisco if memory serves. Cisco 10,000 CMTS if I remember right

Well, not having IPv6 isn't the end of the world. Frankly, you aren't missing anything. But if you must have it now, get an HE tunnel.

Ahh I think you are right. I got Cisco & Motorola confused. Since I have an SA cablecard, I can't get VoD on my Tivo:

Customers with a Cisco/Scientific Atlantic CableCARD will not have XFINITY On Demand available at this time.

Its not the end of the world, but yes, I would like to replace the decade or so old tunnel I've been using with native for many different reasons.

I guess I am fortunate... I am on a Cisco CMTS and have had IPv6 active for a couple weeks. My understanding is they are still rolling it out to the Cisco systems. I agree though it does take a while.

Comcast is doing a good job of rolling out IPv6, even to the Cisco CMTS - I just think they started in the wrong quadrant (NW) of the country, imho...

Thanks on the HE Tunnel recommendation. After some trial and error, I got it working and now I can conduct ipv6 tests.

Can't get VOD on your TiVo with a SA card? I have a SA M-Card on my Tivo Premier 4 XL and I get Comcast's OnDemand service on TiVo just fine

I was wrong -- just checked and now it seems to be working. Wonder why they told me otherwise?

Of course anyone that does not have their area covered early on would say that. Anyway, Comcast is doing a good job over all and they will have the rest of their Cisco powered areas covered relatively soon.
