New England → [Chat] I have an idea/suggestion

I've been thinking about this since we now have a larger forum with more members. When we start the 2014 threads for baseball, football, basketball, etc., I would like them labeled Football 2014, Baseball 2014 so all our members can post about their teams and how they are doing in one big thread for each sport.

How do the rest of you feel about this? Other suggestions? Can you all live with this?

I'll be completely honest, I don't know much about most sports. All I know about football is that you kick the ball and if it goes through the upright bars, you get points. Other than that.. it's a big mystery to me.

Given my infinite level of knowledge, your suggestion sounds good though.

Lesson #1-

Football = The one with the brown oblong ball with a white stitch
Baseball = The one with the fairly small white ball with red stitching
Golf = The one with the small white ball
Basketball = The one with the orange ball
Tennis = The one with the yellowish/green ball
Hockey = The one with the black flat disc thing
Soccer (US Term/Football outside the US) = White/black ball
NASCAR = No balls. Cars.

*Ball colors and patterns may very slightly.

Sashwa, we had an energy thread in the CT forum where we'd post prices (or sales) on heating-related fuels such as oil, propane, wood pellets, etc. Interested in an "Energy Price Patrol 2013/14" thread here in the NE forum? It's helpful to see what others are getting for energy prices (and where they are getting it from!).

I have no problem if someone wants to start an Energy Price Patrol 2013/2114, Jim. This forum is for all of New England, I just babysit you all.

On another note, I thought again about our sport threads and cape has a very valid point that this forum is New England and the teams should be New England teams. There is also no reason if a member doesn't root for the Sox or the other NE teams can't post in the NE team's thread about that particular game.

Now cape, stop whacking me in the head, I have a headache.
