Apple → [OS X] Mavericks/Fusion 6 and Dual Monitor

I just upgraded my MBP to Mavericks and I'm having an issue with VM Fusion 6 and dual monitors. Before the upgrade, when I was using Fusion for Win8.1, I was able to use the MBP display and an external display having the desktop extended. Now when I launch Fusion the external display stays independent and Fusion does not display on both monitors. When I select "use all displays in full screen" in Fusion, the active monitor just show 2 panes side by side on the one screen. Any way get either Fusion to use both displays, or is there a System Preference setting to make the monitors extend?

Try System Preferences > Mission Control > Disable "Displays have separate Spaces"

Then log out, log back in and start Fusion.
