Has the upload speed been increased to 5mbps?

I noticed that my connection seemed slow this afternoon, so I did a speedtest and my download speed was shit (I'm on 70/2 but the dl was around 20), but my upload speed was over 5mbps. Anyone else?

Edit: Did a speedtest at 4:46 am and this is what I got.

I noticed under the cableone management my 50/2 plan changed to 50/3. I still only get about 2.3 upload though.

Confirmed here. I was on 50/2 plan. Now they've upgraded it to 50/3, and I'm getting around 51.1down / 3.3up.

I noticed a 1Mb increase on my 2Mb UP Link this past month. Speeds tests are 3Mb and a bit over. Thank you C1.

reboot the modem?

Ack.

That would have been helpful to know. I was about to post that I still have 2.3 mbps... nothing changed for me.

Yes, I will go home and do some bootin.

Ensure your ISP service and cable lines are in good working order. Remove any TV Line splitters as these can cause noise and interferences and reduce the signal going to the modem. Get into a good ISP modem. Motorola SB 6 series stand alone modems are good on C1. I have 3 of them.

These are all good points.

I think I have all of that taken care of. I just need some rebooting.

Until Pashune posted that the modem needed rebooting to get the faster upload, I didn't even think that it mattered. I then remembered that I rebooted it at the time to try and get faster download speeds. I didn't think that had to be done to get better upload speeds.

Let us know after reboot if it increased your upload speed.

Increase of upload speed is now being advertised.

It is basically:

50mbps/3mbps
60mbps/4mbps
70mbps/6mbps

Note the wording used for the upload speeds:

I rebooted the cable one Motorola surfboard modem last night. All is well.

I still have 50.0* download, but 3.2* upload.

This is a nice change.

I never knew they changed it. I only noticed it yesterday when I ran a speedtest and got 48.8/3.3 on the results.

woo hoo. C! does that. I've been with them for years, I remember when I got bumped up from 6Mb down to 10mb then 12Mb with out cost change. Just think of it as a good surprise.
