Keyless entry questionI have a 2001 Dodge Stratus that I bought used. I'm thinking of getting keyless entry or keyless entry and remote start. I am wondering if there is a way of telling if there is a factory keyless entry system as used cars don't always come with the original key fobs.
And should I go for the keyless entry or keyless entry and remote start. I can get it installed at Best Buy at a reasonable price. |

Dealer should be able to run your vin and tell you if it was equipped with rke. |

And in addition: Generally with Dodge/Chrysler products and rke, if you don't already have a programmed fob you need to take it into the dealer anyway to be programmed. Can only DIY it yourself if an existing fob is programmed and you are adding one in. |

In my experience the Stratus wasn't available with all that many options so I'd doubt it had keyless entry.
Besides, a full aftermarket kit would cost less than 2 factory fobs + programming. |
