Played two maps (Giants and Hanger) for a total of 45 minutes today. Some observations:
1) Maps are quite complex as they have lots of indoor spaces/levels with lots of details - ladders, elevators, hidden spots etc. On Hanger, I found a button to press in a small control room - it turns on the rocket engines for the ship in the hanger and got like 3 kills for it! 2) Laggy...seems very unfriendly to older vid cards (my 5780 held it's own up to this xpac, but was struggling) 3) Haven't used the new weapons - a flying drone/gun platform which makes a lot of noise - and a rail gun (killed by it a few times, never was able to find where it drops).
Considering I haven't played the game in nearly a month, it was interesting to play with these new maps.
I'm curious if they messed with the hitbox as well. I went toe to toe with a player, close range, I had a shotty and barely scratched the guy even after putting 6 shells into him.
So what's the deal with the med packs? It seems if you get shot, you have to wait a few seconds or so before you start to heal?
didn't notice anything other then the usual bits of network stutter here and there(i only see this exclusively with BF4), and a bit of render issues but other then that ran fine.
Hover tank is funny as hell, especially when it runs over other tanks for a ride. It doesn't make much difference to the additional guy but the driver has to rethink how they position themselves
I'm not digging the new patch (don't have any of the expansions). Seeing a number of weird things like I saw one guy who was crouched yet running across the map. The nerf of the medic bag sucks IMHO.
Yes....anything older like a GTX650 should see a big improvement (I did!). If you already have a GTX780, won't see much of a difference. They are pretty close in benchmarks.
Yep, you're a dumbass. Never admit to it in BF4, no matter how stupid the accuser is. It's like sarcastically asking the officer that pulled you over, "why did you pull me over, for doing 20 over?" Ticket will say "driver admitted to 20 over" and you're screwed in court.
