So, what's your desktop(s) looking like these days? The above is how I typically have Metro set up and I've simplified my desktop even more these days. HP Envy 23" TouchSmart, Windows 8.1.

I just play on the Desktop of Win8.1; the Metro screen is whatever it was, with just the active tiles killed - I rarely visit it.

I'm currently using one of the images from a Windows theme package. I haven't yet transferred all of my image files over to this computer, so my choices are not vast at this point.

I'm glad I got 8 rather than 7 bc the start menu is far friendlier for a long time W2K user.

There some great Windows 8 apps available. HyperTube is better than the native YouTube app.

Must be a Win 8.1 exclusive cause I can't find it on Win 8.

I can't find it on Win 8.1 (desktop computer) either. Maybe there's a way to restrict it to being a "mobile" only app -- and that would suck.

Never mind, found it under "Hyper for YouTube".

Thanks for the tip.

Edit: That app is awesome, better than YouTube.com itself!

A new Windows 7 system. I must admit I'm as happy as can be. Notice the creative use of color, black.

Mine is all fall and festive and stuff. Rainmeter with a customized weather skin.

This is running on Windows 8 Pro x 64, with no start menu modifications.

We have XPs at work though the prevalent OS seems to be 7. Went to Time Warner Cable to get an issue fixed and they had XP on the computer in the lobby.

Not a problem. The .jpg image is attached to this message.

I don't know where I got this from, but the file information contains the name "Jackson Vereen", with a title of "Fruits and vegetables". So, Mr. Vereen deserves the credit for the picture.

I thought I got it from this page

»windows.microsoft.com/en-ca/wind···allpaper

However, I'm not seeing that image listed. I do know that the rest of my 114 pictures that I use for my desktop images have come from that site, so it would be odd that I did not get this image from the same site.
