SmartRG 505N modem and ftp stall - is it just me?
I am testing for a client the new SmartRG 505N VDSL2 modem and I have noted that FTP either commandline or via FileZilla stalls after about 200K when used in bridge mode. If either the option to "bridge PPPoE frames" is made in the pppoe WAN service, or if I define a wan-service that is bridge-only, I have this symptom. Apparently if I break and restart the FTP session enough times, it starts working and larger transfers are possible.
I tested a Ubuntu workstation with firewall off initiating the PPPoE session as well as a Windows XP (again initiating the PPPoE) and both seem to have the same behaviour. Can anyone confirm or refuse what I am seeing? Perhaps I broke something along the way, I reset the config and came to the same issue.
I've got my SmartRG in bridge mode on a Teksavvy 25/10 VDSL2 circuit and I don't see any FTP issues...

No such issue here. Using filezilla client to upload to my work server, then retrieve the same 23meg file.
Home connection is 50/10 TSI VDSL, work is 60/10 Rogers Cable. SmartRG set up in pure bridge mode, via a NetGear WNR3500L router running TomatoUSB-Toastman firmware.

hmmm....it appears to be related to the ISP. If I try it with my username/password elsewhere it works. I have no issues with the Sagemcom, when I swap to it FTP works on either ISP; SmartRG only works with one ISP and neither tests use the PPPoE stack from the modem itself (pppoe passthru?)
Yowza. Strange that knowing that the PPPoE session is established by the same equipment somehow changing the modem is creating an issue.

Can you create a guest account for somebody and see if they can duplicate the problem? I don't have VDSL, so I'm not the best candidate, but..
sorry I can't create guest accounts
however it seems to be when the wan service is a PPPoE with "bridge PPPoE frames" enabled. I incorrectly stated that the wan service as a bridge was showing this issue. I guess I hadn't deleted the other wan service....
