Information about switching from Time Warner to Earthlink, please

So I'm planning on switching from Earthlink to Time Warner. I understand they're partners, correct? Does this mean when I get my bill that it'll have both what I owe from Earthlink usage and the former Time Warner usage? Or will Earthlink not even allow me to get their service until Time Warner's bill is paid off?

It depends on the area... in quite a few areas [like mine] the only thing EL has to do with it is the name.. and the IP address. The billing, tech support etc are handled by TWC.

Generally speaking EL costs more after 6 months then TWC anyways..

I'm pretty sure TWC cables handles the bill in my area too. Does this mean TWC won't allow me to get Earthlink until TWC's bill is completely paid?

The best bet would be to make payment arrangements with TWC.. as it would not surprise me if they disconnected for non-payment.
