[Anime] Anime deals, Amazon, Right Stuf and more

Starting out with Right Stuf's "3 waves of black Friday" deals. I'm not very impressed yet but will continue to watch.

Well, since my local anime and manga supplier has closed up shop now and I haven't yet found a replacement...

This could get expensive (Esp. the $250CDN minimum for free shipping )

Pffff $250? That's not tough to do. Now, HAVING the $250 may be the challenging thing - for me it is anyway.

Heh, well it's more that it's going to come in larger chunks than I'm used to (though I am buying for two others as well so it might actually be okay, now that I think about it)

Curse you rightstuf! It's not even Dec!!!!!

Oh, for those reading from the "currently watching" thread - they have the 1st release of Yozakura Quartet the complete series on DVD for $14....... so if you like the one currently running, and want to see what the first version was like, it's worth picking up.

You can say that again, cap'n. This wave has some stuff I want. My wallet finds itself in the path of Rightstuf's wave motion gun...

I'll have to burn through Hellsing Ultimate right quick to see if it's a buy, and finally make a decision on K-On, and oh, I'm tempted to get that Tylor set, even though I already have Tylor.. the edition I got, the disc holders weren't glued to the book very well, and they tend to fall out!

Fortunately for my wallet, nothing in this wave that's a must-buy for me. I might buy those japanese books for a friend though.

That yearly sub for the premium access will be a good deal for Monday. ~$47.99 for a year's access? Cheaper than Crunchyroll!

Yeah, it's pretty stupid. You basically buy the gift certificate, and send it to yourself. Then you just redeem it on your account. I haven't even finished the process myself yet, but I bought the sub and got my code. They really should've made this easier to do.....

Neon Alley is also offering a yearly subscription cyber-Monday deal, $60 for the year, which saves you ~$2/mo. Not much of a deal, but it's better than nothing if you were interested in it.

Me, I'll just stick with monthly, as I paid for the Funi and CR memberships already.

Caved in and bought it for a couple of series that CR doesn't have. How long until you got your redemption code?

Took about 8 hours for mine to come in. The notification email says it can take 48-72 hours to be sent. Still trying to figure out how to apply the damn thing.....

Day 2 has a couple of good ones in there. The Darker Than Black seasons on BD look tempting. I really enjoyed that series.

Just a note of warning to those enticed by RightStuf's deals, if you see something you want, DON'T WAIT ON IT!!!!! While the site may not tell you "sold out" when you order, you will likely get backorders if you wait, and if they're for Christmas, may come after that. Had it happen to me the past 2 years, and each time, the site never said "sold out" until after I placed the order.

On the Funimation annual sub nonsense, apparently, you need to cancel any paying sub you have, wait for the remainder of the month to expire, and then you can use your code to activate the annual paid sub......

One would think after the facelift the site has recently had, that they would've addressed the subscription bit with coupons. Pain in the ass.

Mine expires on the 10th, so my code had better work at that point, or I'll be pissed.

Penguin Drum 1&2??? Ouch, my wallet. Wife loved that series, we almost bought it @ AWA. Now both for less than the price of 1? Yup....
