Sprint is dead.

The only reason why Sprint survives today is because they're MVNO friendly, and most MVNOs use Sprint. Other than that, Sprint is dead.

I've never understood why MVNOs keep setting up on Sprint's network, after all it's a complete garbage network that less than useless.

Because Sprint the only one offering themselves up to MVNO's. It's a symptom of a failing company and exactly why you don't see ATT or VZ whoring their network (especially their LTE services) to every Joe MVNO.

It's cheap to get on for the most part.

VZW will; $1,000 application fee.

Meet the requirements and you're on.

A data-dedicated network. The Verizon Wireless EV-DO network is optimized for data-only services.

i.e. 3g only. So, while technically you are right, no LTE to be found.

MVNOs are starting to offer LTE over VZW.

Thants because most other providers are not stupid enough to take them onboard. But what happened to ESPN, Brighthouse, Roadrunner, Commcast? Now, they sell a lot to republic wireless and VM (and a few others )
