[Need Info] Best free FTP program. Easy ?

I'm needing to send some files from my computer to somebody else, and i thought maybe we should use FTP. I haven't done that in years, and I had a stroke after that so i really forgot everything about them. Can anyone suggest a easy to use FTP program. Thanks for any suggestions.

I've always been partial to LeechFTP.

Old.
But works fine. Clean interface. Just what a FTP client should be, IMO.

The only reason I don't use it, much, anymore, is because now I'll typically use the FTP client built into my file manager, Salamander.

A lot of people find it difficult to configure FTP properly - not you, but maybe the person on the receiving end. I would try to use a free cloud storage service (Google Cloud, or Microsoft SkyDrive).

Lots of hoops to jump through to get FTP to work on both ends with FTP and they must come and get them you don't really send them with FTP.

Without knowing more about the files or sizes it is hard to give better help.
But if you need to send them you could always just use a file compresses like Winrar (many other free types available 7zip, zip) and break up the larger files into smaller sizes to be e-mailed. This way you could send them.

Another way is to get a free account at any file share site or something like dropbox or skydrive to name a few and then you can post the files and share them with only the other person or more if needed.

Add Box and DropBox to the list. And yes, much better route to go than FTP.
