I haven't looked at it. I'll go check.

Don't see anything but the menu is not that friendly.

I downloaded it, went smoothly. Maybe it addresses the issues some have had with disconnects.

How did you get to it on the menu? I didn't see any reference to it.

When I logged into my hotspot tonight, the update had already been downloaded. I clicked on the "Install Now" and it proceeded fine, initially. When I got the message that it was powering down to complete the install ( on the web interface), it got hung up. It was then in an endless loop of power down and up. When I pulled the charger, it was able to power down but still would not complete power up. I eventually pulled the battery for a minute and then it was able to complete power up. It seems ok now.

Here's what the update does....

+ Data meter added for users to check data usage.
+ VPN drops associated with with Cisco AnyConnect IPSec v2, and dormancy
issues have been resolved.
+ Connections to certain websites are now available.
+ Language on Web UI associated with SIM lock has been updated.
+ Model number reference on About Jetpack and on Web UI has been
changed to 4620L/LE.

Looks like you can also block connected users and a few other changes.

Checked after seeing your post, sure enough the update was there and I just finished installing, so far no problems, no hangups, we'll see going forward. Thanks for the heads up.

I just went into the device and looked under software updates. "No Software Updates Available" was the result.

Great, I was hoping these issues would be addressed. Tell us about the new data usage meter!

If you are with Millenicom the data monitor will just say "unlimited"

I don't think anything will appear for data usage since they are listed as unlimited. Best bet is to check usage on the vz site.

Mine is 3.20.16 and shows daily usage. At least I can keep track by keeping a log. I am on Millenicom. Mobile Network/More shows the usage since midnight.

Why go to all that trouble. Just get it from the Verizon website.

YAY, finally. I want real-time info from the device itself, not the delayed crap from the VZW site.

If you are close enough to the cap that you need real time then you have to really be careful. A few hours delay is fine for me as evidenced by my usage.

So how do I get setup with the VZ site?
The delay is not a problem for me but I would like to know the overall for the month instead of trying to remember what I used.
Thanks

Get the phone number from your device. Go to VerizonWireless.com and set up an account with a name and password. You can then access your usage info.

You sure it's fine to trust the VZW site when their data calculating can be flawed? I compared my usage to what Millenicom measured earlier in the week. I had nearly 15 GB of usage at that time, while the site claimed I used over 17 GB.
