A Note to FTR Tech

In one of your post here you mentioned to contact internet Help Desk to obtain the firmware update for the 7550 modem. I attempted several times to contact them online. Each time before even chatting with me this was the response. Hopefully this was just a glitch with their terminal program.

I was eventually able to get through to a support rep. They advised there were not able to push it out and suggested I call in which I did.

Update: Received email from support and update was provided. Modems updated. I think in many instances Frontier support has made improvements over the last few years, in part due to the participation of yours and several other Frontier employees in this forum.

Re: A Note to FTR Tech

Hello, Hank,

I'm glad that you got the firmware settled. I've let our management know about the chat disconnects so that we can ensure we get these resolved and avoid any further disconnects.

So, do I need to pursue manually updating my 7550, or can I expect it to be automatic? Thanks.

It's not automatic, at least not so far.

It's a fix for wireless issues only.
