Router Upgrade Question

I am curious whether upgrading my router will improve my Internet speed. My current setup is:

ISP: Cox Cable

Modem: Motorola SB5101
Router: Linksys WRT54G2

PC#1: HP Pavillion p6230f with wireless network adapter, Qualcom
Atheros 802.11 a,b,g,n dualband

PC#2: Dell Inspiron 660 with wireless network adapter, Dell DW1500, 802.11 b,g,n WLAN half mini-card

PC#3: Sony Vaio T13124CX/S with wireless network card Atheros WB225, 802.11 b,g,n

My ISP is Cox, with current speed:
Fri Nov 29 3:48 PM

Download 21 Mbps
Upload 5 Mbps

Per the Cox web page, my plan is Preferred package with up to:
25 Mbps download speeds
5 Mbps upload speeds

Would it be worth my cost and effort to upgrade just the router to an “N”, or do I need to upgrade both the router AND the Cox Package to get results? Or, should I just relax and be happy and content with my current status? Appreciate any comments or input on this. Thanks.

Wireless is prone to the issue about Speed.

Do you have any computers with a wired connection?

You should consider getting one of the computers wired to see if you have the same issue with that computer or not....

I will wire the laptop - easiest to do - thanks for suggestion, I should have thought of it.
