Netgear N router loses connectivity with Vizio M-Series tv
I have had my Netgear N router for over a year and have not had connectivity issues. I now have a Vizio smart tv and, although I connected w/o incidnet when setting up the tv, now I notice that it is not connected at various times. When that happens I have to power cycle the router. It seems to happen randomly and may have been going on for sometime w/o me noticing since I do not use that function on the tv often. Any ideas? And btw, I recently replaced my cable modem with a Zoom modem. Finally, none of my other wireless devices have this Issue.
I have a couple of blu-ray wifi players that wont connect to my new Netgear unless I set them up for static ip's and DNS.. They worked fine on DHCP on the older Westell.
My situation now is that the tv stays connected for 2 days and then I need to power cycle the router. I installed new firmware last night so we will see if that helps. On the other hand, my blu-ray player stays connected. Weird.
