[Internet] Firmware upgrade on SB6141 at 4:45 in the afternoon?OK, my connection was going berserk in the last half hour. Seems that 1.0.6.12 got pushed through to my (owned) SB6141 just now. TWC Central NY Div. (Syracuse) just so everyone knows. |

Cable boxes normally upgrade early in the modem, but they don't seem to use this schedule for modems. My SB6141 upgraded at 8 PM a few weeks ago... I had just unplugged it to temporarily move it to another room, and when I powered it back up it installed the update (lights flashed in an unusual pattern for a minute, and the logs confirmed the update was downloaded during this time).
So if anyone is missing the update, try power cycling the modem. If the modem resets itself due to a signal issue, that might also trigger an update when it reboots. It probably isn't available in all areas yet... they stagger the updates just like they do with the cable boxes to avoid sending out a bad update to everyone all at once.
TWC now lists the current firmware version on their approved devices page... this is a nice change from the old policy of saying that they can not and will not update customer owned modems. |

Power cycling modem didn't help me. I'll just wait. Was hoping it would update the firmware in anticipation of the 100/5 speed upgrade scheduled here in NYC on 12/11. |

My first inkling yesterday, was I looked up at my modem's lights, and it indicated that I no longer had channel bonding. So I checked my modem's config page, and sure enough, I only had a single download channel. I manually rebooted it, and it went through a bizarre flashing light pattern that I'd never seen before, eventually stabilizing. Went to the config page and sure enough... says I got software update successfully. All appears to be very, very good! |

I just got my 6141 in the mail last Saturday, the 7th, and called TWC to have it activated. After I figured out to go to 192.168.100.1/ and select "Help", then I saw that I had the 1.0.6.12 update, to begin my 6141 usage. |

Is there anyway to see the current SB6141 firmware level I have when connected thru my ASUS RT-N66U ? Or do I need to have my PC connected directly to the modem via CAT5? |

Is this only on TWC supplied modems? I bought my own after having overheating problems with the garbage one that they gave me when I started my service (It would get so hot it warped the shelf and melted the cheap veneer that was on it lol)
I bought the 6141 off Amazon a while back and just checked and it is running SB_KOMODO-1.0.6.8-SCM01-NOSH still... |

Not in Queens either. I guess NYC isn't being upgraded at the moment. |

Is there a changelog for the new firmware? Is it just "better"? |

Someone posted the changelog here some months ago, and it "fixed" a whole slew of errors. |

It shows in the modem logs. Plus, it will permanently show on the modem's help page under firmware version. I got this update about a year ago at 5:40AM. |
