Re: [Game] Riot tells pro LoL players they can't stream competing games
I guess I am saying they are going bigger than that. They don't wanna compete with Blizzard and valve they have already won there. They want it to be LCS, NFL, MLB, NBA. They want the big bucks now that they beat out the other software companies. They are going for broke and it will either work or blow up but if it works I think it might be kinda cool to have as extensive a front end as football has.
Like local LoL teams head to state championships that lead into LCS bid tournys. Might be kinda cool to see it that big ya know.

I agree with what their vision is, but would like to point out the fact that at some point a Riot executive made a decision that would fuck over the rest of the PC gaming community. Riot perhaps thinks it is much bigger than it absolutely is--it is still a PC gaming E-Sport (not even consoles are included here), and they have gotten a taste of the limelight and are distancing themselves from their roots to get more. They don't mind hurting pro PC gaming as a whole to get what they want.
I agree with what you are saying but I also don't believe anyone else is even close. I think the West is begging a software company to do it at this scale. That company just happens to be here in the states.
I truly believe Korea, China and the west will facilitate this if we like it or not. They don't have the NFL. This is going to be their NFL and we may get it just because they are going so hard at it.
I like how their reaction was to guarantee their bottom line and screw the rest of the community instead of going to Valve and Blizz and saying "we've created this product with immense popularity on the pro scene, we'd like to bring your products into the fold for the benefit of PC gaming as a whole."
Blizz and Valve came first to the scene and could have pushed as hard as Riot has they just didn't. I see what Riots doing as more gamble than beaten path and I think the other companies may not wanna front the cost of such infrastructure on software that could be obsolete in 3 years like you said.
Also, what you are asking doesn't happen in America between direct competitors in any industry. Apple hates microsoft. Coca cola employees don't drink pepsi. Etc.
hahaha They are just making fun of my accent and you are more than welcome to join us on Skype whenever you want, we play a different games on the same room so sometimes is total chaos.
Maybe the first couple times, but Jobbie really does have a sultry voice. I think his voice could turn a few regular members gay for him if he wanted them.

What Gogg said. I could never make fun of Jobbie's voice... After a few nights, I can just read his posts imagining it in his sultry deep voice like some people read a text with Morgan Freeman's picture on it.
On an unrelated note... Jobbie, you should totally do videos like Totalbiscuit or AngryJoe... with that sexy voice of yours, you'd have a following of millions in no time.
I think Jobbie would be a good commentator. I think if I had:
More free time Video editing skills No kids
I would have probably had my own youtube channel and live stream.
You sound so cool and confident, you're selling me both on that voice of yours and MWO. How do you stay so calm while you're racking up kills? Whenever I'm killing something I'm usually yelling something along the lines of:
