ISP automatic forums » TDS → dsl line can't access spotify website

I am a computer consultant. My client was having trouble accessing the spotify web player. FWIW, I cannot do a traceroute without time outs to spotify.com, but I can from my Charter connection. The spotify twitter feeds said they were having trouble on dec. 5th, but it's past that now.

I recognize now that traceroutes aren't a reliable diagnostic tool, but by comparing the traceroutes I can tell that there's something wrong. Also, they aren't the only website to fail.

I ordered a new modem, but don't know what else to do.

P.S The modem is 3 years old, so probably time to replace.

Did your problem ever get fixed?

And you're right traceroutes aren't a great diagnostic tool... handy in some situations though. Did you call TDS support?
