I need to setup Internet connection for 6-8 IPs of different companies in 1 building. I have 1 fiber line coming in that's terminated and I get 1 Ethernet cable. I'm looking at the USG line up of gateways. Not sure which would be the best fit. The connection is 100Mbit up/down. On premise there will be 2-3 Exchange servers, DirectAccess server and some low traffic websites. Client-gateway VPN for some IPs is also needed.
I looked at this thread »
Zyxel USG 20 / Multiple public ip addressesLogically, that seems to fit my needs. But I don't know which model USG is best fit performance-wise. I'm assuming, I will need the number of ports to match the number of local networks. I.e. 6 external IPs = 6 ports, +1 for WAN. 7 ports total. USG 300 has 7 user-defined ports. Perfect. But what do I do beyond that? For 7th or 8th IP? Would I have to implement vlans and use a layer 3 switch for expansion? I really want to get away with 1 device.
If there is a better solution, please pitch in. I do want to avoid Cisco, however.
TIA
