Bridging modem that uses encapsulation > Asus RT-N66UHello,
It's easy to bridge it, but what settings to use in Asus? |

Exactly what is the question?
First off, it'd be helpful and instructive to know your type of ISP -- cable, xDSL, etc.? Secondly, what make / model of modem has been supplied, and is it amenable to being bridged? If it is so, then pretty much plug in the N66U, let it get an IP address from the ISP and walk away...

As Hellfire stated a bit more information is needed. But, you would utilize what ever log in credentials the ISP provided and configure the Asus to use the normal setup your ISP originally supplied you with. As an example, if the ISP supplies a PPPoE connection then you would setup the Asus to use PPPoE with the configuration information supplied by the ISP. If the Asus has an auto detect/setup mode (Wizard) then you are probably home free. |

Thank you for your replies. Using the Asus as access point instead. |

Would you please supply a complete description of your setup. It is a bit hard to answer your question without that detail. |
