They like to 'buy/rent' U.S.A. programming and then that gives them the Canadian television airing Rights coming from Canadian TV stations. They do make some content, but if it isn't quality, no one will watch it and we don't want to subsidize shitty Canadian content for Canadian content's sake.
As Red Green said: "Without Canadian content rules, my show would of never made it 15 seasons" as the first 3 seasons were just above crap

Don't trust 'apps' before making sure they are not skimming off your smartphone or tablets personal data(address books, and other stuff). App's make the mobile experience real easy but also induce security holes.--
