[CBN] Charter Business Speed Upgrades (St. Louis)Found out that tomorrow charter is going to provide a "free" speed increase for CBN customers.
30/4 goes to 60/4 50/5 goes to 80/5 100/5 goes to 100/7
Static ip pricing will be changing to:
1 ip - $15 5 ip - $25 13 ip - $50
If you have the 50 or 100mg now and you have a free static then you are grandfathered in with the free static. |

Definitely not too impressed with the new CBN speed upgrades especially not on upload speed. |

7 up is better than 5 up, but until the upstream speeds hit 10 megs, I'm not impressed.
Is St Louis all digital yet? If not, it seems weird that they'd do this upgrade before they go all digital. Also makes me worry that's as far as they are going to go. |

IS this just for St louis or all CBN? |

if they have 8 downstream channels for internet activated yes it is possible to increase the speeds but they may run into the same issue they were having with 4 downstream channels too congested like before? I know with TWC my area hasn't had any congestion problems even after when we got 8 channel bonding now my area has 8 down 4 up bonding with 3 QAM64 6.4MHz wide carriers along with a single 3.2MHz wide upstream Downstream Bonded Channels Channel Lock Status Modulation Channel ID Frequency Power SNR Correctables Uncorrectables 1 Locked QAM256 3 783000000 Hz -4.7 dBmV 36.9 dB 425 0 2 Locked QAM256 1 771000000 Hz -3.5 dBmV 38.0 dB 131 0 3 Locked QAM256 2 777000000 Hz -3.9 dBmV 37.5 dB 180 0 4 Locked QAM256 4 789000000 Hz -5.1 dBmV 36.5 dB 635 0 5 Locked QAM256 5 795000000 Hz -5.6 dBmV 36.0 dB 1359 53 6 Locked QAM256 6 801000000 Hz -5.6 dBmV 36.7 dB 211 0 7 Locked QAM256 7 807000000 Hz -6.2 dBmV 36.1 dB 429 0 8 Locked QAM256 8 813000000 Hz -6.2 dBmV 36.0 dB 19139 55943 Upstream Bonded Channels Channel Lock Status US Channel Type Channel ID Symbol Rate Frequency Power 1 Locked ATDMA 12 5120 Ksym/sec 37000000 Hz 43.2 dBmV 2 Locked TDMA 9 2560 Ksym/sec 19000000 Hz 43.2 dBmV 3 Locked ATDMA 10 5120 Ksym/sec 23800000 Hz 43.2 dBmV 4 Locked ATDMA 11 5120 Ksym/sec 30600000 Hz 43.2 dBmV |

This I'd like to know as well, is it just STL? No speed changes here in CA on CBN 30/4. |

said by duffman45200:We need upload channel bonding not sure why charter is taking their sweey time They are still working to provide a minimal service to all residential customers (ie: the 30/4 standard package) to their entire network. Channel bonding and other speed upgrades are on the back burner, and typically only affect major markets anyway. |
