Re: Unlimited 3g account owners please weigh in!

....I'm wondering why they felt compelled not to pull the plug on the unlimited 3G accounts, even though they had no compunction about yanking the unlimited 4G away last year even from those who were still under contract with the unlimited 4G.

The contract for 3G unlimited accounts was such that they could not legally end it. They made sure there was a clause in the unlimited 4G that let them cancel it any time they wanted to. If I remember correctly, sprint lost a lawsuit over converting unlimited 3G to capped 3G, and that is why I still have it.

I am sure there is a clause in your contract about unreasonable or excessive usage and I am surprised they have not exercised that right at this point.

Probably because there are so few subscribers still on that plan!

Doubt it. Have had the account since 2005. They had plenty of chance to call me out. Plus that would have given them out opportunity to get rid of unlimited accounts. The problem for Sprint was that unlimited meant unlimited. Ergo, those plans still exist, and get bought and sold on ebay at high prices, or at least they used to. Sprint may have put an end to that.
