[WIN8] Windows 8.1 - Lifecam Cinema Model H5D-00003 and confusion.

I have removable hdd bays on my pc so I decided to install Windows 8 pro. I then installed the 8.1 update. I checked to see if my web cam is compatible and it is.

I installed the windows 8 driver. I'm using the desktop (not Metro or whatever Microsoft is calling these days) and I don't see the lifecam listed under "All Programs." Under windows 7 there would be a entry for the application. From there you can launch the program and change settings for the camera, take a still shot or a short video clip.

Any ideas or suggestions?

The drivers just help the OS interact with the hardware. You need to install the LifeCam application from the installation CD to see it in Program Files or on the start menu.

The Win7 version will probably work on Win8, but there's no need to look for it.
