[TV] Questions about the Nextbox 2.0 and linking terminalsHey folks,
I currently have the NextBox 2.0 PVR (Cisco 8642) from Rogers and recently, we swapped out an old Scientific Atlanta 4200 digital set-top box in favour of the NextBox 2.0 HD terminal (Cisco Explorer 4642).
Based on my own research, I realized that the HD terminal is "capable" of linking with the NextBox PVR. Is that true? How can I communicate with that HD terminal with the NextBox PVR?
Also, I wanted to know how can I transfer the recordings from the NextBox PVR - to a DVD recorder or a USB stick? Any suggestions? |

You have to call Rogers and order a whole home PVR set up. The installation requires MoCA filter to isolate your cisco boxes and their respective feed lines from your Internet and home phone modems and ultimately the rest of your neighbourhood, it also requires a change in your account that allows the boxes to start broadcasting to each other. You can't do it yourself.
Transferring your recordings is possible with a Linux based computer, and some heavy tech skills.
Or.
You can play back your recordings one by one into your DVD recorder while it records. |
