fricken kidding me?

So periods in the day my internet goes total crap, other times it is ok. This started happening for about a month now. Usually in the morning my internet is ok and any other time it is total crap.

No one is using my internet so much that it goes to this extent, before I had the same amount of people on my internet and never EVER had this bad of ping even when downloading.

Here is a ping test I just took when I was getting a massive ping strike in my game on a server I used to get about 60

»www.pingtest.net/result/ ··· 9802.png

Ya, like wtf. Can anyone help me?

I also get 15mb/s download and 1mb/s upload

But I rarely ever get even above 2mb/s on any download in any area but pretty much in like a 20 mile radius.

You do realize Earthlink doesn't run any part of the cable network? You'll have to complain to them, or through them to your local cable company. In my experience, there's no point calling Earthlink as they've always just said "call TWC".

Not totally true. ELink uses their own transport AFTER the CMTS.

I've never seen such a setup. Around here, the only thing "earthlink" is the IP Address.

Hop #2 is the CMTS, and it is *not* an Earthlink only device.

Elink def killed their own transit. Something that they had before- unless it is a regional thing. WOH/Mid Ohio Earthlink customers always used the Elink transit- the other resellers on the TWC network also use their own transit- such as us and WCOIL - nothing of ours stays on the network once it reaches the CMTS.

It would depend on your region it looks like. Also when NEO/WPA took over the Adelphia market around Cleveland it was almost impossible to get them to give you Earthlink they were one of the few regions that never knew anything about it- let alone knew of anything else.
