[IMG] IMG 1.9.5 Build 17.17 - VHO 5Got the new IMG version 1.9.5 pushed to the boxes last night. Woke up in the middle of the night about 2am and saw that the clock on the box was black, knew it was rebooting.
Menus are big time re-arranged.
I'm on Long Island, VHO 5. |

said by frankpf3:Just found "Export Series to the Cloud". What's the deal with that? This has been around for a while (previous to the 1.9.5 IMG). It is primarily for replacing existing DVRs and is only for a short time. You export your series "to the cloud", then after replacing the DVR when you attempt to schedule a recording you can "import" the series and retain all your scheduled series recordings. [Edit]:BTW: I am also in VHO5 and still only have IMG 1.9.4 with this functionality. |

I've always been on the "slow spin" list. My guess is if all is well, rest of VHO 5 will receive it next Tuesday - Wednesday. |

So far I have only seen Verizon promotions in the guide. I can live with them as long as they are small and don't blink. |

The ads at the bottom of the guide are still not very large and do not blink. I saw a Disney add a few weeks ago, but they are mainly Verizon promotions as you indicate. You have the latest version of the guide, so what you see is what we get -- so far. Honestly I don't even notice the adds anymore. |

Any ideas of things that were changed other than the menu and adding an ad to the guide? Did they address the poor responsiveness of FF & REW that seems to have been introduced in their last release? |

I thought I had read some time back that there would be the capability to choose another room's dvr to record, even when there was no conflict ? I didn't see that in today's email. Anyone who's already received the update can confirm ? |

Make sure you reboot your boxes after they push it down. I had to reset all of mine, they were acting sluggish. |

It said there would be a new option to turn parental controls off for 4 hours. I can't seem to find this anywhere. Does anybody know about this new setting? |

No one would ever think to look there. It's not even in the main Parental Controls setting, it's a small option while watching live TV and pressing help and navigating through that tiny box. No one will ever know it exists. I happen to find it by reading the email they sent us. |

I'm not a fan of the new menu layout.
What's the deal with MCAST values in the system diagnostics? What is MCAST? |

MCAST is Multicast, for future IPTV support. |

When you say "future", do you mean by the end of the year? |

And why is the video on demand section still being broadcast in 480i? Drives me nuts. (Not that it has anything to do with the IMG update). But I would have thought Verizon would broadcast this in 1080i. |

Service went out at approx 9pm last night! So no TV, Internet or phone. Called automatted troubleshoot line, they said service out til 5:15pm today!!! This is all in VHO5 (Westchester & Rockland). WTF? I thought updates took 20 minutes?
I'm writing this from work, because, well, I can't do anything at home at the moment. |
