Office 365 Enterprise email alias? *SOLVED*Hey all. I've got a client with Office 365 Enterprise who wants, without adding an additional license, to have any emails sent to bob@company.com get forwarded to robert@company.com. The bob address doesn't need its own inbox, and mail never needs to be sent from bob.
This is a pretty routine thing for most email providers, but I cannot make it happen in Office 365 Enterprise. I've tried creating a distribution group but I get this as a response:
"Delivery has failed to these recipients or groups:
bob@company.com Your message can't be delivered because delivery to this address is restricted. "
EDIT: FIGURED IT OUT! I had to go into the settings for the distribution group and click "delivery management" and change it to allow emails from outside the organization. |
