anyone run ipv6 tunnels? massive packetloss

Ive always ran a ipv6 tunnel, mostly through tunnelbroker, and have had 0 problems with them, but the last 3 days Im getting a massive 50-80% packet loss even to the ipv6 gateway, even though im getting a perfect connection to the ipv4 endpoint to the ipv6 gateway.

Ive even switched endpoints to different geographical locations, and im still get the same awful connection.

Just wondering if anyone else is seeing this, as its not really making much sense of why my ipv6 tunnels have gone to crap. Is Rogers playing with the packets or something?

If you haven't already, can you reboot your router? Just in case it's something with corrupted/leaky memory on the device.

I have as well exactly the same problem with Hurricane Electric ipv6 tunnel for last couple of days. Can you please take a look? I didn't change anything on my side, rebooted modem and router. It started working yesterday for few hours and almost dead right now.

I turned on tunneling through HE just to confirm this for you. It is in fact dropping packets. I haven't used IPv6 in ages but it seems to be quite useless without native support.

I ran cronjobs last night starting at 11 or so every 20 minutes,
starting at 1am, the packet loss went to 0%. I will continue running them to see if during the day it stays at low %'s

And to brad, like I posted in OP, I tried several geographical locations just to try to eliminate the possiblity the problem was on my side. I just happen to be using NYC now, if NYC continues to be fine, I will switch back to toronto.

Was it Rogers messing with the tunnel traffic? A few years back they broke VPN for telecommuters when they tried to block torrents, so maybe they were trying something now that broke 6in4.

Well there were definitely issues on HE's network over the last 2-3 days over v6. I finally reported an odd traceroute issue but the root problem was affecting the ability to reach certain parts of their network and I was seeing some odd routing issues even from other carriers into their network from the east coast going towards the west coast and I was also seeing packet loss. It seems to have been resolved a few hours ago.

As another mentioned it's odd to be using a tunnel hosted on a router farther away than necessary. There is a HE router in Toronto (tserv1.tor1.he.net) that will likely provide better service.
