[West] Intermittent speed slow downs tonight, anyone else?Just started getting very erratic speeds. Normal is slightly over 5 down and I've seen from 0.3 to 3.1; and sometimes normal. Similar for upload as well.
Anyone else seeing strange, intermittent slow downs tonight? |

I had this exact problem (I'm in Northwest Indiana...Crown Point to be exact) for about 6 weeks now with no shortage of back and forth with AT&T. I'll spare you many of the details and back & forth iterations with the cust svc reps. In the last 6 weeks, they tried all sorts of different things, but just today, the technician texted me and said he made some "changes". I asked him to call me to discuss, which he did. He told me that he was talking to some of the other tech in the garage, and they thought that the system/network I was on was operating near capacity. So they suggested assigning my line to to a different server/network...which he did. That was about 6 hours ago, and so far so good, but only time will tell. He alos told me that my neighborhood is going to be upgraded to U-verse this year (said he saw the actual dwgs on his supv desk for the VRAD placements), but it wouldn't be the first time AT&T made an empty promise to me. Fingers-crossed, but I'll believe it when I see it. Best of luck to you. I know how frustrating this can be. My wife and I work from home, and I need a good connection, so it's been hair-pullingly (is that even a word) maddening for us. Regards, John |

Same here. Took over 30 minutes just to post here on DSLR earlier. Looks like it's cleared up, but a ping to google.com is still very slow:

Was doing a new TV video DL that was going pretty slow but not unusual for source if traffic heavy, otherwise not noticed here, then to now.
And you too, if not in your profile, helpful to know where HERE is for questions of this nature. |

Slow as can be for me on DSL. I should be getting about 4 Mbps (too far from the pop) and this morning I getting 1.29 Mbps slow as molasses. |

Level 3 is having large issues tonight and being a large transit provider could affect about anything. They are suffering another DDOS(second this week I think) |

For what it's worth, I too have been experiencing a nightly slow down in San Francisco. Starts at about 7 pm. Up until that time, it is fine during the day. First started about 3-4 days ago. |

I wonder if this is causing some netflix problems as well as level3 is a provider to netflix. |

The DDOS was only over night. They are back to normal now. So I do not think it is related then. I brought it up since the OP indicated it was JUST tonight. |
