For Starters....

How about we reverse some bad decisions regarding media ownership? Why are we allowing network providers to own both the distribution network and the media?

There seems to be an imbalance in the force.

I know roads aren't necessarily a good comparison because they have different economics, physics and technology but what would transportation look like if car manufacturers built roads that could only be used by their products? You cannot physically build a dozen parallel roads nor would it be efficient to do so. Unless wireless technology can make exponential advances, isn't a competitive Internet a fantasy in the same way there won't be roads for every brand of car? Perhaps common carrier is extreme but if competition is a fantasy, doesn't that warrant creating at least a few rules about how this game is played?
