Phone InterferenceIn the past couple of months our cordless phone has starting picking some kind of radio station anytime we use it. It is not the phone as it was working fine until a few months ago. What can we do to block the outside interference from what I believe maybe a radio station.
Thanks, | | |

There's two possibilities: a wiring issue or a problem with the cordless phone. If there's a strong AM/FM radio signal and/or you have old phone wiring, the broadcast audio can get into the wire and you hear in on your phone. Replacing the wiring to the cordless with modern twisted pair line (Cat5e) should eliminate radio interference. As for cordless phone design flaws, try using a corded phone on the same jack. If there's still radio, then it's a wiring issue. If not, the cordless phone might be bad at filtering out other signals.

Call repair and ask them to install a radio suppressor at the ont. Sometimes you may not hear it on copper, but when connected to fios, it sort of amplifies it. A radio suppressor at the ont usually eliminates it.
