[Equip] Trouble connecting with SB161 modem thru Netgear WNDR3700

Just got Comcast HSI and it's running with a direct connection from the Motorola SB6141 to the computer but just won't thru the Netgear WNDR3700 (v1). Direct connection speeds are outstanding.
The ATT DSL worked fine thru the router.
The router has the lastest firmware, but then again it is a ver 1 device.

I'm not sure what to look for or even know if the old router is compatible with the new modem.
Any suggestions would be appreciated.

If I need to upgrade the router, please make suggestions.

That router should work with your modem. Do a factory reset (hold the reset button for 15 seconds) and set your router up in DHCP mode. Should work after that

I have exactly the same setup and it works flawlessly. Have you tried another port on the WNDR3700? One of the ports may have gone wonky.

Thanks for the replys.
Got it going.
The issue appeared to be that I needed to fo to the router setup basic settings and say that the isp does not require log-in; it was set for dsl that requires log-in.
