Re: Notice from Eubanks Funeral Home

said by Lalapoo :

Yes I just got it too ...

A second notice:

»www.spamcop.net/sc?id=z5 ··· 4315089z

As well a court notice:

»www.spamcop.net/sc?id=z5 ··· 1d35643z

The spammers are "shooting blind"; hoping to catch a recipient who actually has pending issues, and, thus, are open to falling for the ruse.

Yes I also received a notice saying the exact same thing. I did not click on as I assume it is a virus.

It is posted on Snopes regarding the Eubank Funeral home. There is however a legit Eubank Funeral Home in Texas. I feel bad for them because people may assume it is from them! Upon researching it further, it looks like it may come from India & Russia. It also sends a link or an e-mail captioned RESERVATIONS. It has the same Eubank Funeral Home ad. I assume that is to stay somewhere so there must be numerous people involved. If you click on HERE, it downloads a Trojan horse per Snopes. Your downloaded virus program should have caught it.

I got one of these in my yahoo spam folder, as well as a "Notice to vacate". I assumed the latter was being sent by the same botnet as all the rest of these as it had a zip attachment.
