Re: Firefox 27.0 released

Probably would have figured it out by starting in Safe Mode; an extension or theme...

Affluenza, a portmanteau of affluence and influenza, is a term used by critics of consumerism.
The book Affluenza: The All-Consuming Epidemic defines it as "a painful, contagious, socially transmitted condition of overload, debt, anxiety and waste resulting from the dogged pursuit of more"

No I'm quite happy with v26..........I've no intention with messing with an update again.

I'm really f-----g tired of these idiot updates from AVP'S,FLASH ,BROWSERS and microsoft that insist on changing the way your computer works.

Especially when everything has been running great...........why the hell don't they do more testing before releasing these crappy updates?

Indeed, Firefox 27 has performance issues with sites I go to. I went back to 26 with no issues. One would've suggested going to Firefox 24.0.3 ESR to have the latest security updates but I prefer the performance of 26.

Why does my Firefox have problems, on some sites, where it doesn't load and a box appears saying "Shock wave etc" and then I am given option to "Stop Script". Its annoying. Also on some sites Flash Player does not appear and I have to change to IE Tab.
I've enable "Scripts" etc but there's some plugin giving endless trouble.

It shouldn't but some add-ons my not work well with the latest version of Firefox.

Try starting with add-ons disabled.

Thanks but can't seem to replicate the problems. I disabled protected mod in Flash.

I don't see Noscript in your extensions.........any reason?

Personally scripts [java] shouldn't be allowed just because of the insecurities.

Using 27 and yesterday I logged out as I have countless times using the close down feature in Windows 8. Sign in later and poof, all the restored tabs and browsing history gone, with the crash report showing if I wanted to restore previous session. I am using the TM Plus but had Session Manager working side by side. Now I deleted the SM using only the TM P, go to the icon top left, close out the session with that link, then back down to the lower left sign out and close down link Windows. Ahh, those were the days when it was a simple shut down with one click.

I have it installed. Probably didn't show in that long list.

JavaScript is not Java (though NoScript can also be used to block Java).

My problems were all caused by Avast Browser Security.
