I don't have a way of saying for sure about the DCM425, but it doesn't seem likely that we will get any new firmware for that model since it is pretty old. If we do, we will get that pushed out though. |

Staff on the official forum are saying they cannot manually push the 6121's, despite the system being able to self install to the 6121, why no manual option for those not getting it automatically? Is there anything specific to certain areas not auto-pushing, like waiting on d3 upgrades or something like that? |

IM me the MacID/CMAC of any modems not getting firmware update and I will investigate. |

Mediacomchad, I would really like to install the Motorola SBG6782 in my house. Can you confirm that I can use this with Mediacom? I am using 7 year old modem and router, and its not cutting it anymore. Im getting speeds of 4 down and 1 up. Thank you |

I'm not 100% familiar with the SB6782, but you should not run into any troubles with it on our network. I don't see a firmware revision in our possession, but this should work with stock firmware- no trouble. |

If you want to send me a PM with your MAC address I can try and run it through the system and see if we can get firmware pushed. |

Chad, send the CMAC to me when you get it so I can check a couple of security settings we've found that may be interrupting the download. |

Fixed now (for you and anyone else on that CMTS.) |

FWIW I know of at least one person who's using SB6782 with no issues. That thing is huge! |

DPC3010?I'm still running a Cox May 2011 firmware on my customer owned DPC-3010. Is there an updated firmware for me? |

I am currently showing that we do not offer firmware for the 3010 at this time. |

I got d3000-c1000r5592-131025a.bin loaded into my DPC3010. All the lights are green. It's running 8 channels downstream (no difference in performance). Oh, and now I can't log-in to see what the error logs say! I'm bummed. |
|

I got this today when I restarted my DPC3010 modem, too. So far, so good! My previous stock firm ware didn't permit me to see the error logs on this, anyway, so it's a wash for me. |

I spoke too soon... I subscribe to 105/10. I have 4 downstream channels bonded and one upstream channel. Upstream is testing out around 10.4 Mb/s - 10.5+ Mb/s which is very good. However, downstream is only testing to between 38 Mb/s - 42 Mb/s which tends to point to only one downstream channel being utilized. I will continue to test and see what I come up with. Some results below: » www.speedtest.net/my-res ··· 73343396» www.speedtest.net/my-res ··· 73335445» www.speedtest.net/my-res ··· 73334050 |

Hello TJFriday,
I show you're currently bonding to all 4 downstream channels and your modem's signals are in range. Further review shows area utilization is low as well. If you continue to experience slower speeds we will need to further investigate and troubleshoot this problem. What speeds do you see when you bypass your wireless router? |

Re: Mediacom proactively updating firmware on customer owned modems?Out of S&G, I checked my Mediacom-supplied Cisco DPC3008 and, which I assume, is an old build. Model: Cisco DPC3008
Vendor: Cisco
Hardware Revision: 1.0
MAC Address: xx:xx:xx:xx:xx:xx
Bootloader Revision: 2.3.1_R3
Current Software Revision: d3000-v302r125551-111216a
Firmware Name: d3000-v302r125551-111216a.bin
Firmware Build Time: Dec 16 17:22:41 2011
Cable Modem Status: Operational
No issues with it at this time thankfully, but is there suppose to be an update for this modem as well? |

Re: DPC3010?@MediacomChad Those tests were with my router bypassed and my dedicated test rig connected directly to the modem (my wireless APs are separate and I never use wireless for testing broadband connectivity throughput). As it turns out, it took time for it to resolve itself. This is what I'm seeing when I test today. Nothing was reset, rebooted or changed since yesterday: » www.speedtest.net/my-res ··· 74960388 |
