[DSL] SR505N NATThis is a real basic question. For some reason I am unable to do a SIMPLE NAT on this SR505N that I just got today.
I go into Advanced Settings, NAT, Virtual Servers, Add, Select the service example : FTP TCP 21 Select the server IP address: ie. 192.168.0.5
I get the following error : Internal server IP address "192.168.0.5" is invalid. It sure is valid!
Anyone have this problem ? I haven't changed any defaults on the modem. |

I now see why it doen't work! This is terrible. I changed the IP address of the SR505N to another subnet 192.168.0.x! The NAT does work with default 192.168.1.x subnet!
Horrible. Who built this firmware ? |

Ok one last thing! It does work if you leave the modem on the .1 address however if you change the IP address of the modem it will not work...
Not a good first impression. |

Yes I did, made it narrower. It's all working now but the router needs to be on .1 Just strange to see something so simple not work... |
