Fibe TV availabilityHopefully a Bell representative in the know can figure this one out as I, nor my father can get an answer on why Fibe TV is not available in his area from Bell.
He qualifies for 50/10, but can't get Fibe TV (200 Queen Mary Dr, Oakville, ON, L6K 3L1) and across the street qualifies for 50/10 and can (199 Queen Mary Dr, Oakville, ON, L6K 3K7). The bandwidth is there, so what is the hold up? I'm actually jealous that he can get 50/10 as I only qualify for 25/10 and can still use Fibe TV. |

Having vdsl2 (50/10) and fibe tv requires adding in a video card to the slam. Probably means that his side of the street is fed from a different crossbox and hasn't had the video service connected yet |

It may be the provisioning of the SLAM, and it may be that the neighbourhood isn't groomed yet. They won't allow you to buy the service until Cable repair has been through the neighbourhood to groom the cables, even if the bandwidth/etc. is already there. |

Maybe someone from expertech or SLAMtech would have a better response to this than I would. I just know video card needs to be added, not sure about specifics on how it's done or what type of card it is since it's a different department that handles that. However in the mean time, Wikipedia can provide you with as much as I know about it: » en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/ ··· s_device |

I don't think there's a video card in the JWI SLAM. Probably something else in the CO. |

The video equipment is located in the CO and the traffic is sent to/from the Stinger/7330 over fiber to/from the CO. |
