What a shame that I can't read the whole story unless I allow scripts to run on that site. For me it ends at "Emisoft writes: " |

Thanks. I always find it amusing when a story about web security requires that scripting be enabled to read it. |

fwiw: the article ends at the same place for me "Emisoft writes" while using a browser with no plugins and that allows scripts to run. |

Geez....Ghostery found 15 TRACKERS at that site and Disconnect found an ADDITIONAL 12!!!! That's one of the worst sites I've seen for tracking. And I couldn't read the article either. Probably because either Ghostery or Disconnect blocked an essential tracker.
Usually, Ghostery gets all the trackers and Disconnect gets none. These results were with Proxo bypassed and I couldn't read the story. When I tried with Proxo in use, it filtered a lot of the bad guys leaving 4 for Ghostery to get and 2 for Disconnect.
All that crap and still could not read the story. Oh, also that site wants to set some cookies that it tries to hide. I'm going to try to remember to not go to that site in the future. |

Thats interesting Mele!
I added the page to my restricted zone (No cookies, etc) and then went to it.... I got an alert saying "This page uses fonts that need to be installed temporarily. This is usually safe. Do you want to allow these fonts to be downloaded?" -- I clicked NO and the page loaded fine w/o them!!
What was the point?? |
